Website Administrator
Description:
The Website Administrator plays a vital role in the execution and maintenance of WordPress websites, digital campaigns, and event registration systems. While this is not a developer role, it requires proficiency in WordPress (especially with X Theme/Pro), light HTML/CSS skills, and a high level of organization. This is a production-heavy, detail-oriented role ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to make digital systems function smoothly.SermonView currently manages over 50 WordPress websites, with ongoing updates, content additions, and new site launches on a regular basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and update pages using WordPress with X Theme/Pro and Cornerstone
- Set up new websites for churches using SermonView’s templates and client content
- Format and publish blog posts, landing pages, and other site content
- Troubleshoot layout or styling issues using basic HTML/CSS
- Maintain and manage over 50 active WordPress sites (updates, backups, QA, and plugin management)
- Configure online event registrations using our Relevant Seminars platform
- Connect registration systems to our AttendanceTracker event platform
- Set up and manage campaigns using our proprietary Direct Response Platform
- Work with email tools such as Mailchimp, Brevo, and Postmark to manage signups, notifications, and integrations
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and client success teams to publish content and launch new projects
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and maintain SEO best practices
- Perform visual QA and routine site maintenance across platforms
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience working with WordPress
- Familiarity with X Theme/Pro and Cornerstone page builder
- Light HTML/CSS knowledge
- Experience managing a high volume of websites simultaneously
- Highly organized and able to follow repeatable processes with accuracy
- Comfortable navigating web-based dashboards and proprietary platforms
- Strong written communication and task management skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote team environment
- Experience with Zapier and workflow automation is preferred
- Familiarity with SEO plugins like Yoast or Rank Math is a plus
- Experience with email platforms: Mailchimp, Brevo, Postmark would be helpful
- Basic image editing (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is nice to have
- Understanding of website analytics and performance tools is helpful
- Understanding of evangelism methods commonly used by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America is beneficial but not required to successfully accomplishing this role
